Today marks the 27th anniversary of my marriage. It's hard to believe two wild and crazy kids made it this far....only by the grace of God. For when He came into our lives, our marriage foundation began changing from sand to rock. It's been a long, hard, and often challenging process at times, but God has been there every step of the way. And He will continue to be there in the days ahead.

At my daughter's wedding, First Corinthians chapter 13 was read. The love chapter :-) The verses are a good guideline for every marriage no matter how many years long you've been married. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." ~I Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV) Read through several translations (especially the Amplified) to really get a feel for the words....the standard of love we are to live out in our marriage. Challenging at times? Yup! However, applying these love traits into your marriage will overflow into the lives of your children :-)

Plant some fresh love in your garden today!
