tomorrow comes the song

Be strong!
We are not here to play, to dream, to drift;
We have hard work to do, and loads to lift.
Shun not the struggle; face it.
'Tis God's gift.

Be strong!
Say not the the days are evil---Who's to blame?
And fold the hands and acquiesce--O shame!
Stand up, speak out, and bravely,
In God's name.

Be strong!
It matters not how deep entrenched the wrong,
How hard the battle goes, the day how long,
Faint not, fight on!
Tomorrow comes the song.

~ Malthie D. Babcock

As I read this in my devotional this morning, I thought of how many people in my life are really struggling right problems, health issues, family loss, wayward teens, marriage difficulties, and the list goes on. The music in their lives feels like long whole notes in the minor key without any rests as they play alone. They pray, but God is silent. Wait a minute! He has promised NEVER to leave us nor forsake us. He is there and He's taking the music of our lives with all the struggles and turning it into a symphony of great proportions. Be strong! for tomorrow comes the song and it will be sweet music to our ears as God's love and care is realized more deeply in our hearts.
