say it aloud

"Compassed about
with a great cloud--"
the Scriptures say;
--if only I could hear
one shout--
the distant roar
of that great crowd--
just some small word--
aloud--
aloud--
to cheer my way.

~Ruth Bell Graham

Can you think of a single person who doesn't need a word of encouragement? Nope, I can't either. I think everyone can use a little encouragement daily. I mean, imagine "running the race" totally alone with no one cheering for you. Ahh, it could be done with the Lord's strength as He is our Great Encourager...

"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word." ~ II Thessalonians 2:16-17

And using God's strength, we, too, can be encouragers along the way...

"Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." ~ I Thessalonians 5:11

Think of it as offering a cup of fresh cool water to someone running a hot dusty long race. And it's so simple to do. A phone call, a note, an email, a greeting at the grocery store, a hug at church. Even at home with those we see all day long...think of a way to encouragement your husband or children by giving an encouragement in an area perhaps they aren't typically encouraged in by others.

May your garden path be strewn with the petals of encouragement today!

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
