well, well, congratulations to you!

We started in the fall of 1987 also. A long, long time ago...and we're still at it. whew! I could have written your whole entry today. Instead I just nodded my head as I read your words. And smiled! So at home, I now school an 8th grader, 5th and 3rd graders with a pre-schooler running around too.

Blessings to you, dear friend!

What a special post, Tammy! I love to read encouraging testimonials by people who have been walking the path for a while. When you get to my season in life, you have been around long enough to watch the years roll by and see God's faithfulness to His people and their faithfulness to Him.

And that is a reward in itself -- to be a light for the Lord and His ways. Families are seeking for light -- they want to see a family that is still faithful after years of walking the path. What a privilege we have to be that light! You have a precious family, Tammy, and I know you are blessed to be an encouragement to seeking families in your community. Thanks for a day-brightener!

"Back in the early years, homeschooling totally consumed us and was our life. It transitioned through the years blending into our family and now homeschooling is just part of our daily life."

I can really relate to this comment. I've been feeling like I'm not doing much since my older children work so independently and the younger ones keep busy with puzzles and games. Slipping in reading, math and writing with the younger ones has just become a part of our day.

Congrats on your nomination!
