try the ten rules

As I look at the weather forecast for the days ahead and sigh once again, cabin fever settles in a little deeper. Ahhhh, how to get out of this slumpish feeling. Then I ran across this quote:

"Ten rules for getting rid of the blues: Go out and do something nice for someone else, then repeat it nine times." ~ Anonymous

Sounds like a plan, doesn't it? Every time we do something nice for someone else we think they are the ones who are being blessed, but actually the giver is abundantly blessed at the same time. And besides, Jesus calls us to be servants. That should be enough of a reason to try the ten rule plan. Especially while singing the cabin fever blues.

So try it today. Even within your own household. Think of ten nice out of the ordinary things you can do for someone which would bless their day, then DO IT! I dare you! :-)

Ummm, I'm not certain that would count. But you could easily get five out of one diaper...changing poopy diaper, changing undershirt, changing sleeper, changing receiving blanket, helping the person who was holding the baby when the baby had a blow-out diaper find new clothes to wear. BTDT...hee hee!
