so quickly

They come and go so quickly
Spring and Fall...
as if they had not really
come at all.
Perhaps
we could not take
too much of beauty,
breath-catching glory,
ecstasy without relief;
and so
God made them
brief.

I didn't know she wrote poetry. That is a very reflective poem...though honestly, I'd trade spring for fall anyday.

Pretty fall picture, the trees in my yard are looking bare-ish...I am ready for spring already! Lol, perhaps patience is what I need most.

Ohhh, I took that picture probably a couple of weeks ago now. The only trees hanging onto their leaves are the oaks and sometimes we see them all winter long.

Although I am entranced by the colors of fall as well as the mellow days, I'm known by my family to be a spring person :-)
