simple woman's daybook for May 4

For today May 4th

Outside my window.....there was frost on the rooftops when I woke up! Right now the skies are blue, the sun is shining, and it is suppose to get up into the 60's today.

I am thinking.....
that I'm sad that the bloggy giveaways are no more. They were always fun to participate in and I was looking forward to hosting a giveaway during my favorite season - spring! - until I read that she made the decision to close the site a few weeks ago.

I am thankful for.....good health in our family right now.

From the learning rooms.....
we are down to the last three weeks of our school year! It is so so nice to be finishing things up.

From the kitchen.....we are going to bake enough cookies for each man to eat three cookies in a group of around 53 men. You can do the math! *wink*

I am wearing.....a warm green hooded sweatshirt over my exercise clothes.

I am creating.....a quilt which will have its starting pieces from a maternity dress I'm taking apart.

I am going.....to no doubt experience fuzzy brain with all the information I'm trying to keep focused on right now.

I am still reading.....
Saved by Angels written by Bruce Van Natta

I am hoping.....
for warmer weather!

I am hearing.....a variety of birds singing outside my window as they welcome this spring day.

Around the house.....
all the remnants of unexpected long weekend visitors have been put away EXCEPT changing the sheets on the bed since the little sisters love to sniff the lingering scent of their older sister. I know, they're strange, but they've also been known to sniff my pillow when I'm not home. Yes, we're a bunch of sentimental sniffers apparently....

One of my favorite things.....is freshly tilled garden dirt.

A few plans for the rest of the week....
getting together with a friend, Bible studies, training at the pregnancy resource center, possibly a getaway at the end of the week with my family, and if the weather is nice I'll travel to the cemetery to leave some flowers on my mom's gravesite.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you.....

Recently when I was going through a box of things from my old desk downstairs, I found my old fountain pen. It was my favorite pen to use to write letters to friends years ago. Last week when I was out running errands, I made a stop at the local office supply store to see if they still carried ink cartridges for fountain pens and they did! What fun it will be to use this pen once again!

If you enjoy reading daybooks or would like to participate yourself, please stop over at Peggy's Place

Have a wonderful day!

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
