the bells are ringing again

Ohhhh, it's so hard to keep a secret that makes you want to dance! But sometimes you have no choice because it involves a surprise that needs full cooperation when it comes to secret keeping. And it's even harder when you have to wait weeks for everything to fall perfectly into place.

A wonderful event happened a little over a week ago at a fountain much bigger than this one and in a city much much bigger than our hometown. A son knelt down to ask a beautiful young lady to marry him and she said, "YES!"

With great joy they were greeted as they arrived at our home a few days later as my son was a groomsman in a friend's wedding this past weekend. And it was a delight to take a few pictures of them, too, to celebrate their special occasion.

The ring is beautiful in its simple yet full of sparkle design. The bride-to-be has eyes which hold the same sparkle!

Plans are still in the very early stages, however it looks like they are leaning toward late spring or early summer of next year to celebrate with a wedding.

And how unexpected but completely appropriate that they came on the weekend when Mark 10:5-9 was preached about marriage by a gentleman who has been married for sixty some years. What a beautiful testimony it was to watch and listen to him and his wife read together a small section from the book of Song of Solomon.

Ahhh yes, it's nice to hear the sound of wedding bells ringing in our family once again!
