an early farewell

Ohhhh, how I love our flannel sheets!  Throwing them on our beds in the early fall and stretching their use until May.

Warm, cozy, soft, and currently MISERABLE!

They gotta go!  NOW!  At least off our bed.

:::sigh:::

This past winter I'd wake up once in awhile quite warm.

The past few weeks I've been waking up nightly quite warm.  A few times a night.

What usually wakes me up is the motion of my legs trying to find a cool spot within the flannel sheets.  Yes, that is an impossibility.  Especially when your entire body wakes you up feeling like it may be on fire from head to toe and has been warming up those flannel sheets.  Yikes!  Upon realizing there are no cool spots, you then need to get out of bed and walk through cool air to go and drink a cool glass of water. Once returning to bed, you lie on the top of all the covers to fall back to sleep until you wake up freezing and crawl back into the warm flannel sheets.  REPEAT a couple more times each night.

:::sigh:::

I guess my silver lining is that at least this isn't happening in the daytime....YET.

Please enjoy YOUR flannel sheets a bit longer for me as mine will be replaced today!

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

Umm, take heart, Tammy, mine were shelved the night before last....

Gotta love this "phase" in our lives, right????

Thanks, Dot, as it's comforting to know someone else is going through this, too, and probably walking through their days a bit sleep deprived! I'm trying hard not to mind this phase of life, but goodness it's LONG and has many parts, eh?

Blessings,

Awww, Steph, you are so young yet and more than a few years behind! Of course, there is no "normal" with this kind of stuff. Pick up pointers now to help you later....of course, memory loss is part of this whole phase of life, too, so you probably won't remember later :::sigh:::

Blessings,
