Five Minute Friday- True

Five Minute Friday

Awhile ago I saw a Five Minute Friday post on a friend's blog and loved the concept and challenge, but then kept forgetting about it once Friday rolled around.  But this week I remembered!  The task is to write about the topic word of the day for only five minutes.  And post it.  And share it at Five Minute Friday.  And visit the link above yours.  So here I go....

TRUE

What is true?  It's hard when you are in a relationship where you aren't sure what is true and what isn't.  Your discernment is whispering :::not true not true not true::: yet the person you've just asked a question keeps telling you what they claim is true. That happens over and over again. So you turn off your discernment wanting in your heart to believe that things are okay and that they are being honest with you. In the meantime,  you pray that God will reveal what is true.  And suddenly He does reveal exactly what you were questioning.  Exactly what you were discerning.  And life comes crashing down as you come face to face with what is TRUE.  Can there be anything more devastating? Yet you realize there is one source that can always be trusted to be true.  God.  He IS the real thing and will continue guiding you through His Word to what is genuine, sincere, pure, and TRUE.

That's my five minute reflection of the day!

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

Tammy, I have been here. This especially rung so familiar: "Your discernment is whispering :::not true not true not true::: yet the person you've just asked a question keeps telling you what they claim is true....So you turn off your discernment." So grateful that the God of all truth continues to speak to his children. Beyond thankful for that still small voice. Great to meet you through FMF.

It is so hard when our mind battles our discernment. I understand this in a way I never thought I would - and it hurts:(
