into the mist and back out

At the beginning of the month, I was wandering up on the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado with my son and daughter-in-law when suddenly a cloud moved in upon us.  Everything around us became misty white as the cloud continued moving through while blocking our surrounding view.  Being in an unfamiliar place it seemed to make sense to move slowly into the area we still wanted to hike.  And then the cloud was gone as patches of blue sky returned and we once again could see far and wide.

"Great faith isn't the ability to believe long and far into the misty future.  It is simply taking God at his word and taking the next step." ~ Joni Eareckson Tada

Just as we couldn't see long and far into the misty white around us, life sometimes feels much the same.  It may be hard to even see into the next moment.  We know the general direction we want to be going, but sometimes situations put us in unfamiliar places.  Trusting God and the many promises found in His Word, we take the next step and move slowly into the future.  Blue skies eventually return back into our life allowing us to more clearly see where we were and where we are headed.

"Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." ~ Joshua 1:9

Take a step, my friend, and wait on those blue skies a'comin'!

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
