Having to use the word "garden" yesterday caused me to wander outside for a current picture of my garden:
My garden is sound asleep under a two foot covering of snow.
The carrots and beets that I decided to leave in the garden with a covering of straw before the snow came are also sound asleep under two feet of snow. My plan to dig them out as I wanted to use them throughout the winter was quickly foiled once my garden gate froze solid in the snow. Oh well. Live and learn and see what they look like once the snow melts, right?
