Friday, April 4

follow that road

The weeks come and go.  Back to Friday again and the weekly writing challenge.  Write for five minutes on one word.  No editing. Post it.  Link it at 5 Minute Friday  Be sure to read the post before yours and leave a word of encouragement.  In fact, visit several posts and leave words of encouragement.  The word for today is:  WRITER   Ready!  Set!  Go:

WRITER

Writer - one of the hardest jobs you'll ever love

The words can flow and flow and flow from your heart, but often the words will make only sense to you who is experiencing them.   So you often condense them into neat little packages to put online often taking away most of the meaning of what you felt when writing them.  Because honestly, in this instant world, no one takes a lot of time to read things online.  Readers bounce from here to there to the other place.  And because honestly, the older you get the more you realize there is nothing new under the sun.
Yet, as I stumble around in my mid-50's,  I'm finding that there are a lot of things that haven't been written about or shared.  How do I know that?  Because I can't find others who have written about it to glean some encouragement along the way.  It feels like that awkward adolescent age all over again.

The task stands before me.  The challenge of putting words that flow and flow and flow into bite size pieces that others will not only read but say.......she gets it.

We'll see where this road takes us.....

STOP

Blessings,

I too find it difficult to condense my ramblings into something that resembles writing others would take the time to read. five minute friday gives me a chance to say something short and sweet. Hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Great point, Amy! 5 minute writing FORCES you to condense thoughts, doesn't it?!
