Last week when I headed out to the heavily dewed garden to pick beans for canning, my first stop was the pea patch for my morning filling of sweet peas. Imagine my surprise in finding a fuzzy yellow woolybear caterpillar chilling on the leaves.Poor thing was covered with dew, too! It always feels like a sign of autumn coming when there's caterpillar sightings.
Alas, the daylight is getting shorter and the nights are cooler, too.
Enjoy the rest of summer before it's gone!
