"Life is not about how fast you run or how high you climb but how well you bounce." ~ Vivian Komori
You know, there's a lot of things we can do well and excel in, but what happens when life takes us on unexpected journeys in unknown territory. You know, those experiences that make you feel like you are free falling off a cliff.
How well are you going to bounce?
As I consider the situations around me - people that I'm ministering to through work, friends going through difficult circumstances, family members going through trials - it's interesting to see the different ways they respond to crisis.
Some are pretty much in the crash and burn mode.
Some are flailing around a bit with hopes of getting back on their feet with a bit of support.
Some are surviving the bounce by letting go and letting God take over while they fly through the air.
You know, we don't get to pick and choose the trials we want to go through, but we do get to pick how we are going to go through them — alone, looking for the support of others, or trusting God completely — and I have to say that those who impact the most people who are quietly watching tend to be those who have trusted God completely.
And the key for that trust? A verse someone shared with me this fall: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let your hearts not be troubled, neither let them be afraid." ~John 14:27
Accept his peace as you let go and let Him work!
